DISTANCE LEARNING AS APPLIED BY THE MAKTAB CLASS DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC; EXPERIENCE AND SUGGESTIONTIONS

Summary/Abstract: Organisation and realisation of maktab class in the form of distance learning in specific conditions dictated by pandemic of Covid 19 is the topic of this article. Its intention is to demonstrate various models used by mu’allims in organising and realising the maktab class in the last two months of the academic year 2019/2020; what platforms were used and what steps did the Islamic Community take to answer this challenge and to offer assistance to mu’allims and to students of maktab class; Keeping in mind the specific nature of this class and considering technical development and its achievements, it is evident that the distant learning will in future occasionally be one of the forms used in teaching the maktab class even in ordinary circumstances. Therefore, it is necessary to search for the most appropriate solutions that could be applicable in the process of teaching the maktab class. Of course, the classic form of teaching with physical presence of both mua’llim and students is irreplaceable and does not have an alternative.
