Summary/Abstract: This scientific study is dedicated to the legal aspects and practical problems in the Bulgarian legislation of access to healthcare for women with disabilities. Its relevance comes from the growing need to understand the legal construction linked to the right to health of one of the vulnerable groups in society. Attention herein is directed to the existing legal framework in the People with Disabilities Act, the Health Act, the Health Insurance Act and the Medical-Treatment Facilities Act, as well as separate provisions in other legal acts. The analysis is accompanied by conclusions and suggestions for optimising practice and legislation.
