Summary/Abstract: The paper provides an opportunity to review music curricula for primary education (I - IV grade) according to the state educational standards in Bulgaria. Nowadays we are speaking about the historical perspectives to the practice of traditional folklore as part of the intangible cultural heritage. There is a strict Recommendation on the Safeguarding of Traditional Culture and Folklore worldwide. The analysis reveals the contents of Bulgarian music folklore as requirements related to the learning outcomes for acquisition of general education and preparation.
