Summary/Abstract: The paper directly refers to formulated by F. de Saussure concept of interdependences of syntagmatic and associative (paradigmatic) relations, which are mutually conditioned and determine, inter alia, the strength of syntactic connections. Thus, we make an attempt to prove the thesis about the need to separate the strong (based on dependence) and the weak (buit on the co-occurrence syntax) syntactic relations. We believe that a weak relation (cooccurrence) is based on unilateral requirement of occurring the opposing counter-example and a lack of correlation of active connotation of one element of the relation and passive connotation of the second element. We also find proper to distinguish two types of weak connections depending on the scope of determination of grammatical features.
