Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we will review the topic of bibliotherapy with children of early pre-school age. In the paper, we will use the process of bibliotherapy and the method of observing children's experiences based on read work, working with children and the reading process as well as guided reading the author's story for children called „Perolagana noć” for children of preschool age. Given that children are witness to numerous events that have a negative impact on them and why they feel and behave inappropriately, the book is one of the „medicines for the soul” that has a powerful, „magical”, therapeutic influence on them. In addition to bibliotherapy, children have the opportunity to identify themselves with the character and the event, identify themselves, their own, but also the feelings of other people. „Bibliotherapy includes reading books that help children deal with problems and realize that they are not alone and that their emotional reaction is normal.” - Russell, 2009.
