Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article is an attempt to reflect critically on the connections between Kantianism and so called “the School of Jaspers”. The degree to which this movement may be referred to as Kantianism is disputed; the term “School of Jaspers” is likewise subject to debate. The article presents an overview of the position taken by Jaspers himself as well as that of his students: Hannah Arendt and Hans Saner.
