Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic brings with it several psychosocial stressors. The present study aims to investigate how mental health is affected by these stressors and whether there are gender and age differences. For this, a cross-sectional study was conducted in which 699 people participated who completed an online demographic data questionnaire as well as Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21.Following the statistical analyzes performed, it was found that the level of depression, anxiety and stress is significantly higher in the case of female participants than in the case of male participants. It was also found that participants up to 25 years of age and those over 60 have more severe symptoms of depression and anxiety compared to those in the age group 26-60 years. Gender and age under 25 and over 60 are risk factors for mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like other studies, the present research highlights the need to develop psychological and social support programs accessible to the general public in conditions of physical distance.
