Funding of Public Service Broadcasting under the Practice of the European Commission and the Court of Justice

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the legal framework for funding of public service broadcasting in the EU, mainly the Communication from the Commission on the application of State aid rules to public service broadcasting (2009), its application and the practice of the Court of Justice. Criteria that should be fulfilled in the reform of public service media in Bulgaria have been analyzed.
