Summary/Abstract: The interpretation of treaties is an important aspect of international law which intervenes in the process of the correct and uniform application of treaties by all parties to a treaty. The analysis of the rules of interpretation of the treaties determines the finding that the negotiating states must not only consider a substantive regulation acceptable to all parties, but also the concern for the perfect clarity of the stipulated regulation. The unclear meaning of the provisions of a treaty affects its efficiency as a tool to ensure the achievement of the purposes for which it was concluded. The interpretation of treaties aims at addressing the issues concerning the competent authorities to carry out the interpretation and the value of the interpretation achieved, but also the issues regarding the application of the rules of interpretation.
