Summary/Abstract: Day care centers for children are alternative options for child care and protection, which are mainly under the auspices of the community. It should ensure the quality of care provided to children, whether it is physical health, education or mental health. The main purpose of the work was to increase the involvement of the community in the activities carried out by the day centers for children. To this end, a number of 42 children from two day care centers were asked about the degree of satisfaction related to the activities carried out in the center and about their preferences related to the diversification of these activities. Following the answers received, the community was notified of the children's wishes and an attempt was made to involve them more strongly in order to satisfy these wishes. In the end, the children were again asked about the degree of satisfaction and there was an obvious improvement in these answers. We believe that the community, with all its resources, must be more involved in ensuring a superior quality of care provided to children in day care centers.
