Summary/Abstract: The author from the theoretical point of view is arguing about the problem of intergenerational conflict in our western civilization. Social conflicts as such are present in every culture, but religious systems outside the Western World do not recognize intergenerational conflicts because this issue is closely linked to postmodern, egocentric viewing of the world and the atomisation of the family. The contribution also focuses on intervention, pointing to the need for intentional intergenerational learning.
