Summary/Abstract: Set of 17 morphological measures was applied in order to determine the latent structure of morphological characteristics on a sample of 84 students of the first year of the Faculty of Security Sciences at the University of Banja Luka. Using factor analysis, we identified three factors that were interpreted as: volume and body mass factor, the factor of the longitudinal and transverse dimensionality of the body, and the factor of physical body composition which estimate was based on the thickness of the subcutaneous fat tissue. This research represents an attempt to show that segregated latent hierarchical structure of morphological factors has both theoretical and practical values, and these factors should represent certain mean for the prediction of anthropometric characteristics and programming of training operators in the process of teaching Special Physical Education.
