Summary/Abstract: The history of Eurasia has ignited the historian’s void for many years. The history of a huge continent is a pretext to consider the interactions between individual empires that have functioned in its various parts for centuries. The empires of antiquity and the Middle Ages, and later the continental powers and fiercely rival nation-states interacted on many levels: commercial, military and cultural. New Beckwith’s book crushes the stereotypes of nomadic tribes from central Eurasia. Unfortunately, he creates a controversial theory about relations between nomadic tribes and empires. In the article, I try to discuss with his ideas.
