CAQDAS – COMPUTER-ASSISTED QUALITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS SOFTWARE. HISTORY, EVOLUTION AND FUTURE

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to introduce the Polish readers to the most important information about CAQDA software, as a kind of specific programs to help conduct the analysis of qualitative data. This paper presents the historical background and foundation of the creation of this software. The purpose of the article is to present the development and evolution of CAQDAS. The aim of the article is also to identify the capabilities and constraints of using CAQDA programs in qualitative data analysis.
