Summary/Abstract: This article will present methods and techniques employed in the past and nowadays in social research conducted among people who practice prostitution. As the Internet is being more frequently used on different levels of a research project, main advantages of online research undertaken on people providing sex services will be considered. At the same time, when referring to research conducted by „traditional“ means, one will learn about all possible problems that researchers who plan to apply online research in the given circle or in other projects dealing with hidden populations may encounter.
