Summary/Abstract: In this article, the Constitutional Court ruling of January 11, 2019 is analyzed not only from the perspective of the constitutional concept of family and marriage, but also from the broader perspective of Constitution interpretation, including aspects such as the relationship between constitutional principles and constitutional norms, the role of international and EU law in interpreting the Constitution, and the possibility of judicial dialogue in the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court. The conclusions of the article ends with some methodology of interpretation of the Constitution, which can be applied not only to the constitutional concept of marriage and family, but also to all other provisions of the Constitution under interpretation.
