Considerations on an exposition of information, from theory to science

Summary/Abstract: The author addresses the issue of the concept of information, from the perspective of its importance for the evolution of society, presenting the meaning and content, role and necessity, ways of capturing and, last but not least, the qualities needed to be met by information in order to give it value, in the perspective of its judicious use, which would turn it into a resource for maximizing power globally. Beyond the classic valences of the concept (process, knowledge, product), the author deals with the issue of information from the perspective of a branch of social sciences, which aims to facilitate effective communication of knowledge in the context of social, organizational and individual needs.
