Summary/Abstract: A group of seven buildings is analyzed from the point of view of the design features (namely the width of the walls and the entrances) and of their location (alongside Histria’s main streets). All of them have been excavated before 1949 and no archives concerning the research are available. All of them were considered as « civilian basilicas » and were interpreted as administrative buildings. This study assigns them, for an unknown period of time, the purpose of horrea and a brief economic justification is presented.
