Summary/Abstract: The author of this documentary, Ion Filipciuc, brings to the readers' attention some fragments of the work La noi, în Bucovina [The way we are, in Bukovina] – a work which he assigns, as a species, to the historical reportage – written by Octav Vorobchievici, a descendant from a family of well-known priests and Bukovinian scholars endowed with the gift of storytelling and understanding of world’s mysteries. At the time the text was printed, the author addressed to readers who did not know much about the Bukovinian territory which had become again a part of Romania. The historical political data offer a good knowledge of the realities of Bukovina before and after the events of the autumn 1918. The text was published for the first time by Octav Vorobchievici in the monthly magazine “Military Romania”, (Bucharest, 1935). Later, in 1943, the text appeared in the volume La noi, în Bucovina, published at the “Bucovina” Publishing House (Bucharest), which was led by I. E. Torouțiu. In order to provide contemporary readers with the most complete information about the book, Ion Filipciuc first presents the contents of it, and then he inserts large text fragments, edited according to the present day academic orthographic norms. He also preserves a series of lexical forms that had been used a century ago.
