Summary/Abstract: Theatre is the space that best illustratescommunication, for, through his creation the performermanages to highlight all the qualities of Homo Sapiens. Thus, theatrical techniques in all their complexity canbe applied as an exercise in the disinhibition of thehuman being and can raise the current speech to therank of art. In the process of communication, speechengages the whole person in action. The inner monologueprepares the exteriorization of the themes and ideasto be expressed and the body, through extralinguisticmeans of expressiveness – gesture, mimicry, posture, action – must have the capacity to support the verbalizedmessage. Excessive gestures can cause visual fatigue andthe audience should be captivated by exposure, not byexaggerated externalities. Likewise, excessive discretionin expression prevents the transmission of the message. The article presents the importance of courses designed to develop communication skills, by including elements of Actor’s Art, Stage Speech and Oratory for students, regardless of their specialization or institutional affiliation.
