PANDEMIC, INSOLVENCY AND LABOUR RELATIONS. CURRENT CHALLENGES

Summary/Abstract: By means of this article, the author analyzes the effects of the new coronavirusdisease, both from an economic perspective and from the perspective of the affectedworkforce. The article is structured in four parts. The first part aims to introduce the burst ofthe COVID-19 pandemic and its global effects. The second part analyzes the evolution of theinsolvencies of the economic operators in Romania after the outbreak of the COVID-19pandemic. The third part analyzes the methods used by most companies in their efforts totackle the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 infection. The last part of the article, with a concludingrole, presents the effects of the new coronavirus pandemic on the Romanian labour market.
