Summary/Abstract: Orhan Veli Kanık, Oktay Rifat Horozcu and Melih Cevdet Anday, representatives of The First New movement (Garip movement), have left an extremely significant mark in Turkish literature. These poets believed that poetry should be simple, free of all rules and principles, because simplicity is actually the core of art. Besides, poetry should be dedicated to the wider masses of the people, to the ordinary people, which was also one of the views of these poets. This movement, as well as its representatives, in Bosnia and Herzegovina are known exclusively within the scientific and pedagogical study of Turkology, which means that The First New movement in our country has not experienced its valorization.
