Summary/Abstract: The relationship between time and liturgy is profoundly rooted in the nature of celebration itself. Liturgy occurs in time but, on the other hand, it is able to interpret time and its perception. In our world – undeniably an age of speed – it is not only liturgy which needs time: Time needs liturgy as well. It is this reciprocal relationship between time and liturgy which is the focus of this article. It presents both the anthropological-phenomenological and theological dimensions of the liturgical celebration, and liturgy’s contribution to shaping the whole experience of time
