Summary/Abstract: The linguistic paradigm which mainly focuses on the verification of meaning, proposesthat metaphysical sentences should be treated as nonsensical and thus, the language of religioncannot belong to the category of sense making sentences. As a result, the development ofargument over the language of religion entered the sphere of philosophy of translation. Thisarticle discucces the issue in relation to the Hebrew Bible.
