Summary/Abstract: L. A. Tikhomirov (1852—1923) — revolutionary and ideologist of “People’s Will”, who passed the tsarist prison, later became a monarchist, P. A. Stolypin’s associate and editor of “Moskovskie vedomosti ˮ. For more than 30 years he kept a diary that was in the State Archives of the Russian Federation. The article pays attention to the diary entries of 1911, allowing not only to reveal the specifics of Tikhomirov’s own views, but also to show a turning point for Russia in all its diversity.
