Analysis of advertising texts concerning illustrated dictionaries

Summary/Abstract: The article answers the question of how illustrated dictionaries in advertising messages are presented. The analysis of 134 collected advertising texts was carried out. The analysis led to the conclusion that illustrated dictionaries are presented as publications that teach in an effective and attractive way, and that the illustrations support both functions: they are a diversification of the graphic design and support the process of remembering. The illustrations themselves are described primarily in terms of their graphic form and function.
