Summary/Abstract: The Fathers, in order to pass a proper teaching on the union between the divine and human nature used the term perichoresis; they first purified its meaning of an excessive physicalism. Christological perichoresis is a perfect and immediate co-indwelling between the divine and human. It manifests the divine through human and at the same time it develops and enhances the human to a new way of being and acting. The human soul of our Savior is the one that benefits most, whom love and divine compassion become supernaturally co-natural. Thus, man's works correspond to the Word become flesh and intrinsically belong to Him, possessing therefore a real saving power. As a result, the soteriological synthesis relies essentially on the person of the Word that brings together in terms of meaning and intelligibility the Creator and the created natures. The Word of God and the word of creatures have their origin, providence and purpose in God. The Word become flesh is the One who gathers in Himself all the intellects of the cosmos and unites them intimately with his divine nature; He deifies human nature and transfigures the whole creation in Himself.
