Summary/Abstract: A theology teacher who preached with moving words stirring noble feelings in the hearts of the listeners with the force of his words and the depth of his arguments was also Father Professor Petre David, Ph.D., acknowledged by most priests and believers but especially by the countless theology students who were his disciples, as an industrious toiler in the Lord‟s yard, in the classroom and at the rostrum alike. As a professor, he carried out a wonderful and fruitful activity, managing to instill life in the subject he taught with such pleasure, passion and skill. Informed to the date, disciplined and fair, gifted with abundant oratorical pathos, attractive style, sprinkled with fine irony, proof of his intelligence, a fervent defender of the Orthodox doctrine, but at the same time conciliatory towards the other religions, Father David succeeded in turning his courses and seminars into genuine delight for students, drawing them towards the study of this subject and stirring their interest for it, by using infallible methods of captivating the audience: voice, gestures, words, intellectual prowess and personal charm, all masterfully integrated into his entire pedagogical and human “construction”.
