Selected socio-ethical aspects of the modern financial and monetary system

Summary/Abstract: The direction of development of modern finances raises a lot of concern. Basingthe system on the phenomenon of fractional reserve and fiat money favors the indebtedness of society beyond measure, and basically without limits. This state of affairs, in addition to inflation, business cycles and unauthorized shifts in the ownership sphere, createsin people the phenomenon of a credit culture that encourages immediate satisfaction ofartificial whims. Thus, the financial-monetary policy pursued by modern states, designed toabandon the optics of a life based on the virtue of patience and persistent effort, ultimatelyleads to a credit-dependent and propertyless society, enslaved by the desire for immediateconsumption.
