Summary/Abstract: A few lines in the State of the Union Address, the official speech delivered by President Trump in front of the US Congress on January 30, 2018, are presenting, in a very compact way, some perceptions directly connected to the security, stability and, broadly speaking, strategic predictability in Afghanistan. But the security environment in Afghanistan is clearly more complex and highly dynamic; and in order to better understand it, the study is extensively using several important official documents already made public.
