Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of the study of winter bacterial plankton of two small lakes located on the territory of Petrozavodsk (Republic of Karelia). Both lakes are under technogenic influence. The assessment of the quality of the waters of Chetyrekhverstnoye Lake and Lamba Lake, based on the data obtained in March-April 2016, is presented. Analysis of the water quality in reservoirs has shown that the lakes are affected by eutrophication processes. According to the indicators of bacterial plankton abundance, the lakes correspond to the mesotrophic types of water bodies. Morphological characteristics of the cells indicate the processes of hypertrophy of water. In winter conditions, low indices of hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacteria were noted.
