Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of 2020, the world has been living in a pandemic caused by the new COVID-19 disease. In this unusual situation, technology has the greatest positive impact on people continuing to work, study and keep in touch. The crisis is putting serious pressure on health systems to cope with the growing number of patients, disease prevention, process management and informed decision-making. The construction of e-health is underway, at different stages of development in different countries and its implementation is clearly accelerating in the current situation. The aim of this study was to examine which technologies are applicable in pandemic management, in which aspects of medicine and public health can be effective and to present some available technologies and applications that have emerged and gained popularity since the beginning of the epidemic. Methods: Literature have been studied: articles in peer-reviewed journals and publications in the media. Various reports have been critically analyzed and a summary of the e-health technologies used has been made. Results: The search for technological solutions begins with the beginning of the pandemic. Hackathons from world organizations, prestigious research institutes and universities are organized. Leading companies are embarking on large-scale projects to find ways to best mitigate the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In Bulgaria, network and computer technologies are also recognized as useful tools that have the potential to effectively solve partially or completely emerging problems. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Bulgarian IT companies have been developing applications aimed at providing information to deal with the crisis. These are applications for predictive modeling of the spread of the virus and a reliable connection between Bulgarian citizens and public health institutions and applications for electronic health records. The construction of the National Health Information System has started, as the ambitions of the Ministry of Health are to have elements of e-health in the beginning of 2021, and the electronic system to be ready by 2022. Artificial intelligence, technology at the dawn of its development, also participates in the fight against COVID-19. The development of applications with artificial intelligence also raises ethical and moral issues that must be addressed in order to guarantee the rights of citizens. Conclusion: The analysis of the use of Internet and computer technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic shows that they are used in various aspects of healthcare. Technology can take its rightful place in people's efforts to defeat the coronavirus after careful analyses not only of the health and medical benefits, but also the social impact of them.
