Summary/Abstract: The study offers new readings of some passages of critical importance yielded by the well-known Tetrarchic inscription CIL III 14450 = IGLR 3 = ISM II 155due to high-quality photos and a thorough re-examination of the stone. Reproducing former editors‘ readings, the commentary focuses strictly on the lines 2/1; 7/6; 8/17; 9/8;11/9 which shed new lights on the capital of the province of Scythia as to its juridical position, provincial high level command, and late 3rd century building interventions by the official authorities.
