Summary/Abstract: Never say never. Even if you have never had any contact with criminal law, this can happen at any time in your life. A moment of not paying attention, a moment of anger or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time is enough. Even if you now think that you will never loose your freedom, it is advisable to be prepared for anything, to know a minimum set of rules applicable in a prison. Knowing and respecting the basic rules in a penitentiary will help you to accept as easily as possible the unpleasant situation you will find yourself in, to protect yourself from possible conflicts or aggressions, and increase your chances of returning to your family without affecting your physical or mental integrity.
