Summary/Abstract: The article traces back the historical development of the Bulgarian criminal regulation of illegal organizations/groups aimed at committing offences against national equality and religious and political tolerance. The author studies in detail the current regime under Art. 162 of the Criminal Code in terms of the crime’s object, corpus delicti, mens rea, and the characteristics of the perpetrator.
