Summary/Abstract: M. Cebotari, besides her remarkable achievements obtained in the interpretation of the music of German, Italian and Russian composers, asserted herself completely as an outstanding performer of the leading roles in French operas. These results were obtained due to the compact and solid lyrical voice, the performing techniques in the agility and coloraturaof the voice, the impeccable sense of style, and a perfect knowledge of the French language. Not only her unmistakable voice but also her special stage abilities contributed to the artistic realization of the primadonna, which helped her totally transform into the image of the characters she played. Here we can mention the following roles: Antoninaia in J. Offenbach`s Tales of Hoffman, Manon in the opera of the same name by J. Massenet, Carmen and Michaelain the opera Carmen by G. Bizet.
