Summary/Abstract: The paper is dedicated to the tajweed rules of imam Qalun’s riwayah. Each riwayah, including Qalun’s, has its own established tajweed rules that must be followed when reciting the Qur’an. For the sake of easier research and analysis, a comparison of Qalun’s and Hafs’ riwayah has been made, and only those situations in which there are tajweed differences between these two riwayah have been treated here. Since Qalun and Hafs apply the tajweed rules identically for most of the Qur’anic text, there was no need to put forth well-known details. This paper can serve as a good theoretical basis for anyone who wants to become acquainted with Qalun’s riwayah, the practical use of which, in some parts of the Muslim world, has been maintained throughout history to this day.
