Summary/Abstract: In the last decades, the theatrical arts take on new forms and continue to attract audiences through artistic innovations, and the cultural productions occupy a significant segment in the socio-cultural life of modern society. Festivals have a great rolein promoting the cultural values and symbols, being a complex mechanism of communication among artists-creators, artisticinstitutions, the public and producers. Within a festival it is possible to establish, maintain and stimulate artistic partnerships,and in this context the importance of a festival acquires a new connotation, this becoming a part of the contemporary theatricalprocess. The festival, as a related activity of this process, conditions the process of performing arts, fact which has been demonstratedby the diversity and the artistic value of the theatrical productions presented at a festival.
