Summary/Abstract: The control of social processes is largely the responsibility of national governments. Intended actions in this area are referred to as social policy. Its scope is wide and covers all spheres of human existence. Activities related to the family are an important sphere of this policy. The family is a basic component of every society. The family conditions its survival. Performing a procreative role, the family prolongs its existence in new members of society; as part of the socialization function, the family strengthens its identity, transferring its lifestyle to the new generation. Although the family is characterized by its own specific dynamics, in many situations it depends on other conditions, especially of a macrostructural nature, and also on actions taken for the benefit of the family within the social policy of state authorities. This type of activity is referred to as family policy. Author of this article discusses the pro-family policy of Law and Justice – political party in Poland after taking power in 2015.
