Summary/Abstract: Violence against women, regardless of their nature, remains a scourge that societies have been struggling with for a very long time and which, unfortunately, for various reasons are difficult to eradicate. Among the many side effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has become clear that the current health crisis provided a breeding ground for an increase in domestic and intra-family violence. In France, the incidence of violence against women is estimated to have increased by 30% during the first round of containment. Our study aims to analyze the situation in the French system, to present the legislative framework in this area, but also the institutions with a major role in the fight against violence.
