Summary/Abstract: The author postulates the need for pursing within the humanities something that Gaston Bachelard described as “topoanalysis”, deliberating on the imagery and ways of experiencing transit space. He delved into this problem within the context of recurring theses about non-enrootment, the deprivation of identity, and the uniformisation of places (or non-places) in the era of modernity. Take the example of the Wrocław train station, its distant past and contemporary history.
