Summary/Abstract: One of the three main arguments for God’s existence is an a posteriori, deductively valid, cosmological argument. Cosmological arguments start with a simple facts about the world: e. g. there is something in the world, or from more complex facts - that there are contingent beings existing in the world. The thing that exists must have its cause. In this paper I will introduce my interpretation of a modern cosmological argument, Russel’s critique, and then I will try to point out the impossibility of an infinite regress, which leads to defense of sufficient reason and, at the end, the conclusion that the cosmological argument is very persuasive.
