Geolinguistic Data in the Description of the Grammatical Category of Nominal Number (based on Moksha dialects)

Summary/Abstract: The article contributes to the grammatical description of nominal categories in Mokshan dialects, where the implementation of plural affixes differs from that of the literary language. The study involves an analysis of Mokshan nominal plural forms in geolinguistic hinsight and the identification of patterns associated with phonetic changes in the structure of affixes. The importance of the problem is determined by the need to represent the originality of the Mordovian languages and the disappearance of a number of dialects.
