Summary/Abstract: The pastor, with the help of assistant pastors and other priests associated with the parish, makes present the triple service of the Bishop as teacher, priest and shepherd within a specific community of the particular Church. Such tasks are assigned by the legislator to the pastor of parish entrusted to the religious institute. As the proper pastor of a given parish community, the religious pastor teaches, sanctifies and guides the faithful entrusted to him. However, he is not fully responsible for the parish. In this regard, the obligation rests with the religious institute to which the parish was entrusted by the diocesan bishop.
