Summary/Abstract: The text presents some data on the occupational aspirations of parents towards their children in class III of primary school. Most parents want children to perform medical, requiring high qualification (like economists, lawyers), polytechnic and teaching professions. Preferences of parents most differentiate the sex of their baby. Traditionally, the future of girls believed to be the medical and teaching professions, while for boys polytechnic occupations are preferred. There is also variation due to parents’ education and place of residence (these variables are significantly correlated). People with higher education in urban residents often want their children to perform jobs requiring high skills and education, more often, decisions about career choice leaving a child. Parents with lower education living in rural areas want children to perform less skilled occupations and teaching professions.
