Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of 2000, telework has become a solution to maintain several economic sectors affected by the Covid-19 pandemics in activity. Present less in Southern and Eastern Europe but with better representation in the other parts of the Union, telework has been regarded from the light of its advantages (regarding costs and the employees’ possibilities to do some household chores in parallel). Nevertheless, the risks and disadvantages of telework shouldn’t be overlooked – from psychosocial downsides to those that refer to the employees’ exploitation. There are studies that underline, from an ideological, neo-Marxist perspective, the anti-modern nature of telework (because of the confusion it creates between the private and professional life space), as well as the tendency of deregulation in the field of labor contracts (which are replaced with service or commercial contracts).
