Summary/Abstract: The interview was conducted in August 2011 by Malwina Koprowska, a student of Jewish Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków with André Kosmicki, an ethnologist, translator and founder of the “Valiske” organization. The French association organizes trips to places connected with Jewish history and culture, especially the Ukraine, Lithuania and eastern Poland, but also strives to creatively continue the tradition of the pre-war organization, offering trips to more distant places, such as North America and Argentina. All the trips are secular, rather than organized pilgrimages, but the organization does host study visits related to Jewish history and culture. The subject of identity and cultural tourism appear to attract mainly mature people because the average age of participants is 60-65 years.
