Protection of the Marine Water of the Baltic Sea and Sustainable Development

Summary/Abstract: The concept of sustainable development is based on the assumption of a compromise between economic development and maintaining the environment in the best condition. It is implemented by various legal acts and planning documents, including those that relate to the protection of the marine environment. The purpose of these considerations is to present and make an assessment of the relationship between the sustainable development and the protection of the marine environment of the Baltic Sea. The analysis concerns references appearing in Polish law in the context of references appearing in the international law and the EU law.
