The Crime Victim at the Stage of Pre-Trial Proceedings

Summary/Abstract: The article treats a number of fundamental issues concerning the crime victim at the stage of pre-trial proceedings. The author proves the thesis that the crime victim is not a litigant, but a participant in the proceedings. A number of court decisions of the Supreme court of Cassation are subject of analysis. The European standards and the best practices in this field are examined.
