Liturgy and Doctrinal Function of an Icon and Modern Church Reality

Summary/Abstract: In this work, the author explores the methods in which the icon functions in the modern church reality. Covering larger group of subjects by means of questionnaire, then analyzing their results, he presents that in the consciousness of our contemporaries, the liturgical and doctrinal icon is not understood and experienced in the way it is theologically and spiritually conceived. Afterwards, the author suggests the ways for overcoming this crisis situation.
